It is with tremendous sorrow that we announce the passing of Stephanie F. Sedlak, age 94, on April 6, 2020.
Stephanie was born on January 29, 1926 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn to Vincent and Jenny Novak. She married the love of her life and they were blessed with a remarkable son, Gerard.
Stephanie worked as a homemaker and taking care of her family brought her a tremendous amount of joy. Family was the most important thing to Stephanie. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Kent Fire Department. Her faith in God was very important to her and she was a member of St. James the Apostle Church in Carmel. Stephanie will be missed greatly by family and friends.
Stephanie is survived by her beloved son, Gerard Edward Sedlak and daughter-in-law Maria. Stephanie is predeceased by her beloved husband and much-loved sister, Marian Sedlak.
A private Graveside Service will take place for the immediate family on Friday, April 10, 2020 at Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel, NY.
At a later date, a Memorial Mass will be held at St. James the Evangelist Church to celebrate Stephanie’s life.
