Richard Louderback

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Richard G. Louderback, age 83, of Carmel, NY, on July 24, 2020.

He was born on December 8, 1936 in the Bronx, New York to the late Francis and Florence (Dursek) Louderback. Richard married Barbara (Fleming) Louderback on November 24, 1962 in Sacred Heart Church, Bronx, NY.

Richard was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. His joys were spending time with daughter Lauren and his granddaughters. He was a member of St. James the Apostle Church in Carmel, NY. He employed for the Kent Highway Department for over 30 years serving as highway superintendent during that time and retiring as General Foreman. But most of all Richard will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and friends. Will be greatly missed.

Richard is survived by his loving daughter, Lauren Louderback, his adoring granddaughters, Taylor and Adrianna DeSalvo. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara Louderback in 2017, his sister Nancy Duffy and brother Eddie Louderback.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 27, 2020 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Cargain Funeral Homes Inc., 10 Fowler Ave., Carmel, NY 10512.

The Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Richard’s life will take place Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 10 A.M., St. James the Apostle Church, 14 Gleneida Ave., Carmel, NY 10512. Following the Mass, he will be brought to his final resting place, at the Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel, NY.
