Mary was a central figure in the life of her family, hosting birthday and holiday gatherings, with an especial fondness for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, to bring everyone together. Her warm and generous nature reached out to contribute time and talents to many local charitable enterprises since her retirement in 1991. Smart and fun-loving, she brought joy and comfort to her family and friends. Mary genuinely cared for people and enjoyed engaging friends and strangers alike in interesting conversation. Mary’s strength was a resource to all who knew her. She left the world a better place from her participation. Mary is already sorely missed.
