Sadly, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, Lydia Hession of Carmel, NY, passed away. She was 95 years old.
Lydia was born on July 20, 1927 in Czechoslovakia to Frank and Jane Balala. She was married to William Havlik until he passed in 1967 and married again in 1968 to Michael Hession.
She had two beautiful girls with William, Madelyn and Olivia, and spent the last years of her life as a homemaker. She loved music and singing, she was especially known for singing opera. She used to perform in a Vaudeville show with Harpo Marx, sang with Bob Hope and many others, and was a member of a Sokal in Manhattan. Her deepest passion was her absolute love for animals.
Lydia is predeceased by her first husband William Havlik (1967), her second husband Michael Hession (2017), her beloved daughters Madelyn Novak (2022) and Olivia Papio (2020). She is survived by her treasured granddaughter, Jennifer Parrish, her three cherished great grandchildren, Kaila Belt, Tori Paradise and Joshua Parrish and her great-great grandson Bentley Scott Paradise.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 1:00 P.M. 5:00 P.M. at Cargain Funeral Home, 418 Route 6, (GPS 418 US-6) Mahopac, NY.
A Prayer Service and Blessing to celebrate Lydia’s life will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Cargain Funeral Home, Mahopac, NY.
Following the Services, Lydia will be escorted to her final resting place at Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel, NY.
