Josephine Goldstein, a longtime resident of Mahopac, NY passed away on March 30, 2021 at the age of 91. She was born on August 9, 1929 in White Plains, NY, the daughter of Virgil and Jenny (neé Mencarelli) Radi. On October 24, 1948 she married the late Fred Louis Goldstein and they were blessed with 3 daughters. Josephine was a graduate of Mahopac High School and worked as a teacher’s assistant with Northern Westchester B.O.C.E.S. in Yorktown Heights for over 30 years.
“Jo” loved her family, many friends, and her work at B.O.C.E.S. She was a very special and kind person, fun loving and grateful. The 65 year loving marriage to her sweetheart was most admirable to all that knew them. She will be missed.
Josephine is survived by her daughter Linda Meyers and her husband Artie, and daughters Joanne and Rita Goldstein. She was predeceased by her siblings Virgil and Theresa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 6th at 10 AM at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac. Interment will follow at Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel, NY.
