It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of John E. Weiss, 87, of Yorktown Heights, NY on December 24, 2022 who is now with the Lord.
John was born on September 25, 1935 in Ossining, NY to Edward and Marie (Donder) Weiss. He married his beloved wife, Maryann Gulish on March 16, 1957 in Yonkers, NY. They were blessed with three wonderful children.
He served proudly in the Army National Guard 101st Signal Battalion and worked as a Corrections Officer with the New York State Department of Corrections.
John had a Passion for Gardening and Flowers.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 64 Years, Maryann, his children, John Weiss, his wife Laura, Mark Weiss and his wife Gina, James Weiss, and his wife Kristina. He is also survived by his two cherished and adored grandchildren, Erik and Taylor Weiss.
He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. All who knew him always remembered his kindness, friendliness and generosity
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to -8:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Home, 418 Route 6, Mahopac, New York.
During the visitation, a funeral service to honor and celebrate John’s life will commence at 7:30 p.m.
