Chun Soon “Grace” McGlasson of Carmel, NY went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on August 14, 2020 at the age of 76.
Born on May 20, 1944 in South Korea, she came to the United States in 1964 and proudly became a US citizen.
Chun was married to S. George McGlasson on December 30, 1969. The two were inseparable. Chun was an active member of the Mission Church in Holmes, NY where she found joy in serving our Lord and fellowship with other parishioners. Chun sang in the church choir, taught Sunday school, and lovingly prepared meals for those who were sick or grieving. Chun had a contagious smile and was quick to share her faith with others by witnessing and spreading the good news of Christ to those who were lost in a hurting world. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed watching the Food Network and trying new recipes. Chun cherished her family and loved spending time with them.
Chun is survived by her husband, George of 50 years, her daughter Kim Cunningham, sister-in-law Delores Harvey (Mitchell), brother-in-law Richard McGlasson (Ellen), sister-in-law Delores McGlasson, sister-in-law Joyce McGlasson, nephews Todd Harvey (Tracy), James McGlasson (Mary), David McGlasson, Richard McGlasson Jr. (Karen), and Robert McGlasson (Yvette). Nieces Lauren Harvey, Megan Harvey, Hannah Nead (Ryan), Annette Bennett (James), Deana McCabe (Chris), Jamie McGlasson, Christina McGlasson, and many great nephews and nieces, especially the light of her life, Olivia Nead.
Chun will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives that she touched.
A visitation will be held, Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at The Mission Church, 4101 NY Route 52, Holmes, NY 12531.
A Service to celebrate and honor Chun’s life will be held after the visitation at 11:00 A.M.on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at The Mission Church. Chun will be brought to her final resting place following the service at the Raymond Hill Cemetery, 165 NY Route 52, Carmel, NY 10512.
