5/5/1943 – 4/21/2021
Camille Navarro age 77, passed away peacefully in her home of 49 years with her family by her side on the morning of April 21, 2021. After her courageous battle with cancer the last two years of her life, may she now rest in peace.
Camille is predeceased by her husband George Navarro and her daughter, Kathleen Rado, who have surely saved a place for her by their side in heaven.
Camille was born on May 5, 1943 to two loving parents Jennie and Jerry Consola in Bronx, NY. Camille was an only child; however, she maintained a special bond with her cousins and grew up surrounded by adoring relatives. Growing up on Belmont Avenue, Camille’s childhood was filled with trips to the local park, Italian food from Arthur Avenue, and playing with the neighborhood kids. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1961, and soon after met her husband, George. Car shows, family dinners, Lake George trips, and date nights filled Camille and George’s days. Anyone who knew Camille and George in their 50 years or marriage, had the privilege of witnessing true love. Camille and George welcomed their first child, Kathleen in 1963 and seven years later were pleasantly surprised by the arrival of twins, Gerri Ann, and Georgie.
In her life, Camille was most proud to be a grandmother to four girls, Ashlie, Sarah, Christina, and Katrina, as well as four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Ava, Mason, and Carter. Camille was the center of her family and selflessly took on the job of taking care of each and every loved one. Her passion was her job as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and no one was more suited for the position. The kitchen was where Camille brought her family together and spent a major portion of her life. She had a special way of remembering everyone’s favorites and making sure to feed everyone before she even sat down herself. The way in which Camille selflessly gave herself to her family in everyway possible, is a something that can never be replaced, only remembered.
Camille is survived by her two children, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous others who she touched in her time.
May we remember the most loving, selfless, and radiant woman we all knew and loved, Rest in Peace, Camille.
